Head of Procurement vacancy

The Victoria and Albert Museum is looking for a new Head of Procurement to lead their procurement team in getting the best deals with the £30 million it spends on goods and services each year.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A CIPS qualification, a degree or other relevant qualification and significant contract and procurement experience at middle or senior level
  • An excellent understanding of EU procurement regulations, English contract law and purchasing principles and proceedures
  • Strong analysis skills to break down complex issues and then resolve them
  • The ability to advise, negotiate and persuade effectively and work well in a team
  • Experience managing staff to ensure good procurement practice and meet tight deadlines
  • A high level of literacy in Microsoft office etc.

This position is offered on a full time, permanent basis with a salary ranging from £36,546 to £43,929.  It also offers generous benefits including an excellent pension scheme and generous annual leave.
