New procurement guide for governors

Getting to grips with procurement, is designed to help governors identify key procurement issues in their institiutions and harness the benefits of collaborative procurement.

This, they hope, will empower governors to employ effective procurement strategies to manage risk and deliver value for money, while achieving wider social objectives such as carbon reduction, supporting their local economy and ethical sourcing.

The guide is the lastest in a series of 'getting to grips' publications offering governors at HEIs information and advice in key strategic areas. Subjects previously covered include: finance, human resources, estates and infrastructure, audit and risk.
