Reaching new heights: our strategy to 2018

Jun 16, 2015

Our greatest success story is getting better value from members’ procurement spend.  In the last five years alone, we’ve helped them save £135 million through our agreements.

As ever, our principal objective is to add value for our members and it underpins our new strategy for 2015-18.

We’re developing a new three tiered approach to our services:

1.       Our traditional subscription service with access to all of our highly competitive, EU-compliant supply and service agreements and other existing member benefits;

2.       A consultancy service providing high-quality, low-cost project support for short term assignments;

3.       A shared procurement service for full members with limited access to a professional procurement function of their own. Members will have the option to sign-up and contribute to a full, longer-term procurement service.

We’ve set out six objectives to deliver leadership for effective, sustainable procurement over the next three years.  We’ll:

Objective 1: Help members get better value from their procurement by channelling more expenditure through our supply agreements

Objective 2: Find new ways to broaden take-up of our agreements

Objective 3: Collaborate ever more closely with our sister consortia

Objective 4: Increase our support for members’ procurement activities

Objective 5: Enhance our members’ appeal to their students, service-users and visitors through procurement

Objective 6: Make ethical trading and sustainability available to our members.
