Jun 19, 2015

Eighty-three European public buyers took the opportunity to delve deeper into Electronics Watch this week by participating in the European-wide webinar, 'Electronics Watch for Public Buyers.' The online introduction to Electronics Watch addressed its monitoring methodology, the contract clauses affiliates append to their ICT contract, as well as member benefits and requirements.

The webinar attracted an audience from 15 countries to hear about how the model works and two perspectives from a public buyer and a civil society organization that works closely with electronics workers.  They also had their questions answered live by the various expert speakers including: Andy Davies, the Director of the London Universities Purchasing Consortium (LUPC), a founding member of Electronics Watch, and Sheung So, the senior trainer of Labor Education and Service Network (LESN), a 14-year old independent NGO in Hong Kong, providing labour services and labour rights education in mainland China.

The presentations from the webinar are available on the Electronics Watch website. If you'd like to participate in the next webinar, arrange a webinar in your language, or simply to find out more about affiliating, please contact: affiliate@electronicswatch.org.
