Registration is now open for LUPC’s Responsible Procurement Morning Part 2, to be held online on 10 December 2025 10.00-11.45.

Part 2 will consist of two 45-minute webinars delivered by LUPC’s Mags Shapiro, RP Lead, and Justin McLoughlin, Senior Category Manager.

Session 1: Working towards Net Zero with Suppliers
Speaker: Mags Shapiro, RP Lead, LUPC
Time: 10.00-10.45     

Mags Shapiro, RP Lead at LUPC, will talk you through the guidance she has developed building upon Procurement Policy Note (PPN 06/21) -  Taking account of Carbon Reduction Plans in the procurement of major government contracts.

Mags will outline the process that will be rolled out across framework suppliers and share templates for Carbon Reduction Plans for suppliers and an evaluation tool.  This will help members to align practice with non-framework agreement suppliers, as we all drive towards achieving Net Zero. 

Session 2: Sharing LUPC’s Journey to Net Zero
Speaker: Justin McLoughlin, Senior Category Manager, LUPC
Time: 11.00-11.45     

Justin will present the steps we’ve taken at LUPC to improve the accuracy of the measurement of our carbon footprint, including recent external verification for the first time.

He will share the details of LUPC’s latest carbon offset portfolio along with the plans for the next iteration of the Carbon Framework Agreement, all with the aim of providing guidance to help members on their own journey to net zero.
