Its 6.30pm on a Friday and something looks strange on your pc, you can’t access your files, nothing works. You call your IT helpdesk, they confirm a major outage, they need to figure out what is going on.
Over the next days, weeks and months the full impact of what turns out to have been a cyber-attack on your organisation becomes clear. Files are lost, staff and contractors cannot be paid. There is no evidence of any of your historic purchase orders, every invoice received must be questioned for fraud (many are now late for payment), personal data is breached, internal teams have been required to work evenings and weekends for weeks to repair the damage, the list goes on.
Join our next UKUPC event on 14th September between 9.15 and 10.45 and hear from speakers sharing their knowledge, advice, and first-hand experience on the topic:

- James Rockliffe - Director of Procurement, Finance and Management Information – London Southbank University
