Aitor has worked for Ensemble Purchasing for over four years, having previously worked for an NHS Foundation Trust on capital procurement projects. Aitor has over 17 Years of procurement experience in the NHS and in manufacturing.
Clients and projects delivered
Aitor works for two Ensemble Members and has undertaken the following significant projects since joining Ensemble:
- a major procurement project for the replacement seating of a theatre;
- a facilities support services contract of £1 Million, which also had the benefits of a single contractor managing several specialist subcontractors;
- provided procurement support for a new finance system, which will improve a member’s ability to manage suppliers and produce enhanced reports;
- the re-tendering of catering services, which will provide better options for students and staff;
- created policies and procedures for ensemble members;
- a major refurbishment of a science and engineering block (£5 million) at a university, which in two years’ time will provide enhanced learning experience for both undergraduate and postgraduate students; plus
- a number of other facilities and estates contracts including lift refurbishment and maintenance and hard FM consultancy services, ICT services (laptops, MFDs) and the intercampus transport services.
Hobbies/Interests
Aitor’s interests include rugby and playing the guitar in a band.
