The Procurement Act 2023 received Royal Assent yesterday. It is now in its final form and and is available on the www.legislation.gov.uk site. 

The Procurement (Transparency) Regulations, detailing how the provisions of the Act will work in practice are currently being consulted upon. The new regime is expected to commence in October 2024.

The Government Commercial Function will shortly be publishing further guidance and communications materials - including their official L&D Brochure - to support stakeholders, and in December will be launching their first L&D product; the Knowledge Drops. All materials will be accessible from their Transforming Public Procurement webpages on Gov.uk.

We will communicate further details in due course so members can prepare themselves for go live of the new Act and the corresponding procurement regulations.
