NEUPC is pleased to announce the launch of its new eMarketplace to Facilitate Tail-End Spend Framework (ITS2010 NE), providing universities, colleges and public sector organisations with a compliant procurement route to manage low-value, non-contracted purchases.
Awarded following a robust Competitive Flexible Process under the Procurement Act 2023, the framework is available to members of all UK University purchasing consortia and has been awarded to Amazon Business EU SARL.
The framework has been designed to help institutions reduce the administrative burden associated with managing tail-end spend while maintaining visibility, procurement compliance and control. It provides access to a web-based eMarketplace solution that supports product categorisation, spend reporting, approval workflows, order aggregation and extensive management information.
Key benefits include:
- A compliant procurement route for low-value purchases not covered by existing contracts.
- Enhanced visibility and control over organisational spend.
- Customisable approval workflows and purchasing controls.
- Detailed reporting and analytics, including access to sustainability-related spend data on request.
- Access to millions of products through a single procurement route.
- Flexible account options to suit different organisational requirements.
Andy Hughes, NEUPC Agreement Manager, said:
"Many institutions already have strong procurement arrangements in place for strategic spend. This framework addresses the challenge of managing lower-value purchases efficiently while maintaining procurement compliance, visibility and value for money. It provides members with a practical solution that complements existing procurement strategies."
The framework runs from 5 June 2026 until 4 June 2030 and is available to members of NEUPC, NWUPC, SUPC, APUC, HEPCW, LUPC and CPC.
