Senior Procurement Manager and Service Manager

Rick has over 20 years’ procurement experience having undertaken work in the private sector (financial services/ICT support), public sector (local and central government, transport, HE) and the third sector. Rick works for Ensemble Purchasing as both a Senior Procurement Manager and Service Manager.

Clients and projects delivered
Rick currently works for three clients and since joining Ensemble Purchasing has undertaken the following significant procurement projects:

  • tendering of catering services, which increased the options for students and staff;
  • tendering for HR/Payroll services, resulting in better reporting and flexible costing for varying numbers of users;
  • purchasing and negotiation of specialist musical instruments;
  • A new students records system, which will improve the reporting and quality of data for staff;
  • tendering for the re-branding and a new website for the college; and
  • developing sustainability policies, procedures and guides for staff.

As part of the Service Manager’s role, Rick supports the Ensemble team with regular meetings, annual appraisals and advice on best practice in supply chain management. He also provides cover for annual leave and sickness to ensure continuity of service for the client.
