The network solutions framework, launched on 1 June 2025, can help tertiary education institutions, research organisations and public sector bodies save time and money procuring network equipment and associated services.
The framework was developed to replace the old network equipment framework, previously launched in 2019.
Jisc worked with technical experts, equipment manufacturers and market partners to create a framework for the education and public sector. It allows organisations to buy any network equipment or managed services, from large scale infrastructure projects to individual cables.
The new framework has distinct advantages over other procurement solutions. These include:
- No need to use a full procurement process
- Call-offs allow for reduced timescales between identifying a need and fulfilling it
- Reduced administration costs
- Sector-best prices thanks to Jisc's competitive tendering process
- Simple legal compliance
- Sector friendly, robust terms that suit the needs of the public sector.
The unlocking value with Jisc's new network solutions framework webinar on Tuesday 17 June will outline how the framework operates, and how it can help save time, money and guarantee compliance. It will share examples of how the framework has helped organisations to procure quickly and efficiently. Register here.
